Wooden Pie Press Set

One of my friendly customers is David Whalen.  He keeps contact with us throughout the year and occasionally submits a guest blog for us.  If any of you would like to submit pictures or stories for us to blog about please email it to us as it's nice for customers to see what others are doing with our products.

For those of you who have never seen them, these are the three machines I use to make my single-serving (5 inch in diameter) fruit pies. The one on the left makes the top (or “lid”), the two pieces in the center seal the edges of the pies, and the one on the right forms the shell or bottom crust.

 

I have made ten different flavours of these pies which are all donated to five rural food banks in the greater Fredericton, N.B. area.

 

The machines are made of solid maple in a small, rural Manitoba factory. Yes, Canada can compete in the world market.
